I don't believe in Spirit Guides, I rely on them

Guides by my side
My first real experience with my guides was when I was 23. I still remember exactly what happened, down to the last detail, as if it were yesterday.
As I did every week, I walked from the gym to a good friend's house to have dinner. It was the end of February and a chilly evening. I walked the same route every week: on one side an open field and on the other side a road where cars also drove. On the other side of the road a row of apartment buildings that were divided into five blocks.
I had had a great workout and was looking forward to having a nice meal with my girlfriend and catching up.
Suddenly I felt that something was wrong..I had to be on my guard. That's how I suddenly got a message. It surprised me, because apparently everything was fine. There were some people walking, cars driving by. And I felt relaxed. 'Be on your guard'. The feeling became stronger.
It also suddenly felt like I had two pillars in my back, on either side of my shoulders. I saw out of the corner of my eye two bright lights on either side of my back with a soft pink hue.
I felt protected but also worried. What was going on? And when I looked to the side again, I saw it: 'I was being followed! Behind the row of apartment buildings, a man was walking with me. He ducked when he saw me looking.
I walked on..and tried to stay calm. I felt the 'light pillars' on either side and that gave me a sense of safety and control. But it was also exciting, because I was walking along an open field, where no one else was present.
I didn't see the man anymore and I thought, well that's a nice solution. 'Stay alert, Aliye,' I heard. I walked into the street where my girlfriend lived. The street was quite dark and bordered a small park. There were some garbage containers on the corner. I turned right to walk into the street and suddenly I saw the man coming from behind the container. I observed and acted very quickly: At that exact moment a car came from the left. I turned left, stuck my arm wide out and shouted: STOP! The car stopped and I remember saying very calmly: Madam, can I please get in because I'm being followed. She saw the man running away and took me home to my girlfriend.
The next day I was at the police station to file a report, because I wanted to protect other young women. His profile had been reported before and it turned out that he did indeed follow young women and sometimes assault them.
Since then I know very strongly that I am protected and I thank my guides regularly. Because this is just one of the many stories and experiences that I have.
Everyone has guides with them, but many people don't believe in them. That's such a shame, because it's so reassuring to be able to ask for help. In many areas.
Making the connection
Personally, I thank my guides daily for the beautiful life I have. I also often ask them for advice. I ask for help very directly. I also ask for signs for confirmation. I have also had many beautiful experiences with this. You can read about it in this article.
There are two ways you can make contact and both are necessary:
One is through meditation. When you meditate you open your channels to receive. It is, so to speak, the connection to the Universe, or to that deeper layer in you or however you call it.
On the other hand, there is a prayer. A question. A wish, a desire, etc. And from Buddhism I learned: earthly desires are enlightenment. In other words, your desires make you take action, that you take steps, that you create, that you investigate, that you open yourself up.
To deny yourself your desires is to make yourself smaller than you really are. In effect, you are saying that you are not enough to have wishes and desires, let alone receive them.
Your guides are with you to support you and to help you.
People often ask me: 1: How do you know if it's true? 2: And how do you actually ask something?
1: This has to do with trust and faith. It is also not something that is 'outside' of you, but part of you. A deep knowing, a deep sense of safety. Of connection. If you take the time to listen to it.
2: Ask for something as you are. It doesn't have to be a plea. I often say it out loud. And haha sometimes I say: well, here I am again..;) . How can I create this or this in my life? I would like to receive help with this.
Attitude of Gratitude
The aspect of thanking is very important. Just as you pay with money in a shop, 'gratitude' is the energy with which you pay for the help. It is absolutely not a requirement from the guides' side, but if you want to take your own life to a higher level, then the aspect of gratitude is an energy that you would like to invite and use. Would you be happy if you suddenly received 5000 euros? I think you would say yes. In this way you can also look at 'gratitude'. It is an energy that you want to invite into your life and with which you also want to 'pay'. What you get in return is 'priceless'.
